EL6753-0010 | EtherCAT Terminal, 1-channel communication interface, CANopen, slave
The terminal facilitates the integration of any CANopen devices in the EtherCAT Terminal network and can be used as a master (EL6753) or slave (EL6753-0010). What’s more, general CAN messages can be sent and received without having to deal with CAN frames in the application program. The terminal offers high-performance protocol implementation with many features:
- All CANopen PDO communication types are supported: event-driven, timer-controlled (event timer), synchronous, and polling.
- synchronization with the task cycle of the PC controller
- SYNC cycle with quartz precision for drive synchronization, zero cumulative jitter
- parameter communication (SDO) during start-up and runtime
- emergency message handling, guarding, and heartbeat
- high-performance parameter and diagnostic interfaces
- online bus load display
Like the FC5101 CANopen PCI™ card, the EL6753 is used to connect to CANopen networks; however, it saves space since it does not require PCI™ slots in the industrial PC.
