Software Engineer (m/f/x)

Beckhoff implements open automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. The main areas that the product range covers are industrial PCs, I/O and fieldbus components, drive technology, automation software, control cabinet-free automation, and hardware for machine vision.

We are a representative office in Pune, India, and we are actively expanding our team and looking for a suitable software engineer.

• developing communication and visualization libraries using PLC and HTML/JS CSS frameworks for different industry verticals
• design and develop machine HMI applications according to customer specifications
• offering Standard and Custom training to support Beckhoff Products and Projects
• working with international teams and customers
• documentation and Recording of all project activities
• represent the organization in a professional, ethical and socially responsible manner
• maintain a high degree of relevant technical knowledge in order to fulfil the listed job responsibilities
• advise customers on proper technology selection, use, maintenance and training for specific applications

• B.E. / B Tech ( E&TC, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics)
• 3 to 4 years of work experience
• experience with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including (object oriented extensions), C#, C++, etc. Python, JS, objective C-Programming knowledge
• understanding of HMI technologies, knowledge of CSS, HTML and Javascript
• working with Application development frameworks such as .Net, QT etc.; understanding of web development frameworks such as Asp .NET, nodeJS etc. is a plus
• self-starter with a results driven personality, and focus on skill upgradation
• strong analytical and reasoning skills to collaborate in a fast-paced, action oriented team
• ability to work in a high stress environment while maintaining professionalism
• previous technical training and/or Beckhoff Automation experience
• motion control experience is a plus
• excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to customers, companywide, and/or departmental meetings in English
